PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a toner of small particle diameter which can form images of high resolution and image density and an image forming method. SOLUTION: A toner is composed of colored particles with a volume average particle diameter of 2.0 to 10.0 μm, and when the roundness coefficients of the colored particles in a plane projected image produced by an image analysis device are defined as (4 ×π× area)/(peripheral length)2, (1) the average value of the roundness coefficients of the colored particles is 0.90 or more to less than 1.00 and (2) the rate of the colored particles with roundness coefficients of 0.86 or more to less than 1.00 is 80 to 90 number %. An image forming method uses a developer containing the toner. |
