摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a metallic mold which is capable of preventing the generation of galling and manufacturing a thin substrate with substantially no burr. SOLUTION: The metallic mold 100 is constituted essentially of a fixed die 1, a movable die 2 and an external ring 7. A ball bearing 16 is provided between the external ring 7 and a side wall 15a of the movable die 2 and the external ring 7 is supported on the side wall 15a of the movable die 2. This arrangement prevents the external ring 7 from being deviated downward perpendicularly to the movable die 2 by gravity even if the external ring is used for a horizontal injection molding machine. Consequently, galling between the external ring 7 and the side wall 15a of the movable die are mostly eliminated, thereby preventing or suppressing malfunction in sliding of the external ring. Interposing of a molten resin between the tip end part 7a of the external ring and a stamper 3 is prevented, thereby permitting the manufacture of the thin substrate with substantially no burrs.
