PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a starting characteristics enhancement method for an economical dual fuel engine low in the consumption of electricity or fuel, and its device. SOLUTION: In order to enhance the starting characteristics of a duel fuel engine system having a dual fuel engine 1 capable of being piloted so as to be ignited using secondary fuel while gaseous fuel is being used as main fuel, a flow control valve 16 branched out of the exhaust pipe 7 of the dual fuel engine 1, is disposed so as to allow an exhaust branch pipe 9 opened to an intake system 2 to be thereby provided. By this constitution, the flow control valve 16 is opened at the time of starting so as to allow a part of exhaust gas E to be circulated to an intake system 2 through the exhaust branch pipe 9, and the temperature of intake air A is increased so as to allow starting characteristics to be thereby enhanced. |
