PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a high temperature heat reservoir which is easy to make, lightweight and excellent in long-term reliability, and a material for carrying a heat-reserving material. SOLUTION: A material for carrying a heat-reserving material is a material of a substance which carries a heat-reserving material composition containing a sugar alcohol and has a deflection temperature under load in the range of from a temperature lower than the melting point of the heat-reserving material composition by 50 deg.C to 400 deg.C and contains a resin having a retention, after being retained at 160 deg.C for 4,000 hours in the heat-reserving material composition, of not less than 50%. A heat accumulator is constituted by a container composed of the material for carrying a heat-reserving material which houses a heat-reserving material composition containing a sugar alcohol. |
