<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a small-sized, reliable and inexpensive waveguide type optical parts and an optical fiber current sensor using them. SOLUTION: The optical fiber current sensor is constituted of a light source 61, a transmitting optical fiber 62 transmitting a beam from the light source, a polarizer, the optical fiber 66 for the sensor, a polarized light separating element, the transmitting optical fibers 71, 72 and light receiving devices 73, 74, and the polarizer and the polarized light separating element are constituted of the waveguide type optical parts 76 formed on the same substrate. Since the polarizer and the polarized light separating element are constituted of the waveguide type optical parts formed on the same substrate, the number of parts of an optical system and adjustment places of an optical path are reduced, and the inexpensive and reliable optical fiber current sensor is provided.</p> |
