PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ink jet recorder capable of supplying ink to a print head by effectively removing bubbles in an ink passage. SOLUTION: Ink is forced to be circulated in a circulating passage consisting of an ink tank 21, first ink passages 13, 23, a manifold 11 of a print head and second ink passages 16, 26 so that circulating purge for separating bubbles in the ink in the ink tank 21 by virtue of floating forces. A rotating direction of an ink circulating pump 22 is changed in a short time, then the ink is allowed to flow in a direction opposite the regular direction. As a result, the bubbles stuck in the ink passage are swung to be in a removable condition. Then, the bubbles are collected to the ink tank 21 together with the ink and separated therefrom by virtue of the floating forces. |
