ACTIVATION OF ACTIVE HYDROGEN AND ACTIVATING CATALYST

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an activating method for activating active hydrogen incorporated in a compound and to provide an activating catalyst which is suitably used as a catalyst in the various reactions attended with activation of active hydrogen incorporated in the compound. SOLUTION: ESPD electric charge of at least one atom of an atomic group constituting a functional group incorporated in the activating catalyst exists in a range within -0.65-(-1.05) (electrons). Thereby, the catalyst effectively activates active hydrogen incorporated in a compound while keeping an atom showing the ESPD electric charge as an activation point. In other words, the catalyst is suitable as the activating catalyst in the various reactions attended with activation of active hydrogen. Further reaction in which selectivity is excellent is performed by using the activating catalyst.
