PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To shorten a rise time, to efficiently heat heat developable photosensitive material and to prevent the deterioration of finish quality. SOLUTION: When the heat developable photosensitive material is guided and carried by idle rollers 42 and guide members 44 provided in a ventilation chamber 70, hot air supplied to a ventilation chamber 70 is discharged from a slit hole 74 formed between the guide members 44. While removing substance adhering to the surface of the photosensitive material, the photosensitive material is heated and developed by the hot air. The air in the carrying path of the photosensitive material is discharged to an exhaust chamber 82 through an exhaust duct 80 and filtered by the filter of a filter unit 88, then it is supplied to the ventilation chamber as the hot air.
