PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To widen a communicable area without adding a base station equipment in a radio communication system. SOLUTION: A mobile equipment 102 which does not directly perform radio communication with a base station 101 notifies that the relay of data transmission/reception is possible to the base station 101. The base station 101 obtains frame synchronization with the mobile equipment 102 and the mobile equipment 102 enters a reception standby state as a repeater 102. The repeater 102 receives call origination from the mobile equipment 103 at a position incapable of directly communicating with the base station 101 and the repeater 102 obtains the frame synchronization with the mobile equipment 103. Thus, a communication path from the mobile equipment 103 to the base station 101 is secured. Thus even the mobile equipment 103 positioned on the outside of the communication area of the base station 101 communicates with the base station 101.
