摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To discharge ground chips efficiently by a method in which in a machine equipped with a rotary cutting blade which is rotated forcibly below a fixed cutting blade projecting from the inside of a hopper, a base is slanted downward from a position within the radius of the rotary cutting blade, and the clearance between it and the hopper is made a discharge opening for the chips. SOLUTION: When ground chips 42 are pushed into a hopper 14, the chips 42 fall on a rotary cutting blade 30, and part of the chips 42 fall into a notch part 30a. When a cutting blade 32 hits the chips 42 in this state, the chips 42 are cut by the cutting blade 32 and a fixed cutting blade 16. The chips 42 cut to bed able to pass through the clearance between the notch part 30a and the hopper 14 are discharged from a discharge opening through a discharge duct 20. The starting end position of the down grade part of a base 12 which forms the discharge opening 18 and discharge duct 20 is set up within the radius of the rotary cutting blade 30 and to be a sharp gradient of at least 20 degree. In this way, the chips 42 is led to the discharge opening by the rotary cutting blade 30 to be discharged efficiently, improving grinding performance and efficiency.
