PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a structure from becoming complicated, and at the same time to reduce leakage flux in the structure for mounting a magnet protection cover of a generator. SOLUTION: Both end faces in the arc direction of a magnetic pole piece 5 are formed, so that the end faces are nearly flush with both the end faces in the arc direction of a permanent magnet 4, and a projection edge 5a which projects slightly from the permanent magnet 4 to the outside of a width direction is provided nearly over the entire length in the longitudinal direction at both the sides in the width direction of the magnetic pole piece 5. At the inside of a magnet protection cover 6, an engaging stage part 11a is provided, where each projection edge 5a of the magnetic pole piece 5 is engaged to a magnet- fitting part 7 from an opposite side, for fixing the magnet protection cover 6 to the side of the magnet-fitting part 7.
