PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a monitoring device capable of displaying an image, which is matched with a photograph to be actually provided, large and easy to watch before taking the photograph by mounting this device on the eyepiece part of a finder device of a camera. SOLUTION: A monitoring device 1 for camera is composed of an imaging device 11, image processor and display device 13 and the imaging device 11 is mounted at an eyepiece part 22 of the finder device of a camera 2 and has a function for fetching a finder image and converting it to image data. The image processor has a function for processing image data corresponding to photographed information and displaying these data on the display device 13 while expanding them.
