PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make easily screenable (selectable) an antibody (or antigen) suitable for use for preparation of an immunological measuring reagent for measuring a substance to be measured without reacting actually with the reagent, by detecting the degree of aggregation of an insoluble carrier generated by antigen- antibody reaction between the insoluble carrier for carrying the antibody (or antigen) for the antigen (or antibody) of the measured substance and the measured substance. SOLUTION: Sensitization is conducted using an antibody (or antigen) of the kind same to an antibody (or antigen) to be screened, and a relation between activity of the antibody (or antigen) carried on an insoluble carrier and a degree of antigen-antibody reaction is preliminarily found. Then, sensitization is conducted under the condition the same as the sensitization hereinbefore using an antibody (or antigen) to be screened, and activity of the resulting antibody (or antigen) carried on the insoluble carrier is referred to the relation, so as to select an antibody (or antigen) suitable for the degree of desirable antigen- antibody reaction.
