PURPOSE: A system is provided to improve removing nitrogen from the wastewater by employing microbe and nitrified microorganism. CONSTITUTION: The system consists of two stages for operation and each stage has a single anoxic tank and two aerobic tanks. The first stage:the oxygen-free tank introduced with an optional microorganism carries out the process of denitrification; the first aerobic tank introduced with nitrified microorganism carries out the process of nitrification for incoming wastewater from the first oxygen-free tank; the second aerobic tank returns to the first oxygen-free tank a certain amount of the discharging processed water after continuous process of the treatment. The second stage:the second oxygen-free tank denitrifies with the introduction of a microorganism the processed water received from the 2nd aerobic tank of the first stage; the third aerobic tank nitrifies the water from the 2nd oxygen-free tank with nitrifying microorganism; the 4th aerobic tank returns to the 2nd oxygen-free tank a certain amount of the nitrified wastewater after the continuous treatment process. The system included a settling tank to separate solids from the processed water to be discharged, the sludge being returned to the 1st oxygen-free tank. The microorganism introduced into oxygen-free tanks preferably are bacillus and pseudomonas, and the microorganism introduced in the 1st and 2nd aerobic tanks are nitrsomonas and nitrobacter.
