PURPOSE: A defect sensor and processor are described, which automatically sense and process a defective state without influence on the outside. CONSTITUTION: The sensor and processor are built in a process built-in communication device which comprises a built-in processor, coupled to a system interface unit through an internal bus, having a microprocessor and including a related register and a part of peripheral device; a power detector monitoring a voltage from a power supply and, if the voltage from the power supply is lower than a constant critical value, generating non-maskable interrupt to the built-in processor; a power-on resetter generating a hardware reset to the built-in processor, if the voltage therefrom is higher than the constant critical value; a watchdog timer generating a reset to the processor and a display or initializing a count value to perform a downcount again; and a display, coupled to each of the units, displaying defect of the process. Thereby, it is possible to automatically sense and process a defective state without influence on the outside.
