摘要 <p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform class operation that suits the characteristics of an input signal of each input video signal source by forming a class computer which performs orthogonal transformation of an input video signal into a block of a pixel unit and operates class value in each block so as to change the class value in accordance with an input signal. SOLUTION: A control signal MODE is supplied to a control signal input terminal 6. A switch 7 switches a video signal from a camera 1 and a video signal from an input terminal 4 and outputs it based on the signal MODE. A blocking device 8 separates a video signal supplied from the switch 7 into a luminance signal and two kinds of color-difference signals, converts each into a block of 8×8 pixels unit and supplies it to a DCT device 9 and a class computer 10. The device 9 perform motion detection by cumulatively adding differential values between fields of a pixel unit block. The computer 10 operates class value from output signals from the devices 8 and 9 in accordance with the signal MODE.</p>
