PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To lower the abrasion of a contact part at inserting of a printed circuit board. SOLUTION: Inside of an insertion space 11 of a connector housing 10 is provided with a retreating recessed part 13 for allowing the displacement of a printed circuit board P to a position for separating a contact Pb from a terminal fittings 20, when the insertion of a front edge Pc of the printed circuit board P is shallow, and provided with receiver parts 14, 15 for supporting the printed circuit board P at a position, in which the contact Pb makes elastic contacts with the terminal fittings 20. Initially, when the front edge part Pb of the printed circuit board P is inserted into the connector housing 10, the printed circuit board P is displaced downward into the retreating recessed part 13 so as to prevent the generation of contact of the contact Pb with the terminal fittings 20. When the printed circuit board P is inserted deep, the printed circuit board P is received by the receiver parts 14, 15, and the contact Pb is held in a condition such that the contact Pb makes elastic contacts with the terminal fittings 20.
