PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve display quality of a wide viewing angle liquid crystal display. SOLUTION: An inter-clearance S1 between mutually adjacent long sides of oblong pixel electrodes 1 is longer than an inter-clearance S2 between mutually adjacent short sides. Since an electric field does not become diagonal at the end part of the pixel electrode 1 in the short side area and alignment of the liquid crystal is not controlled, the alignment is excellently divided by an alignment control window 2 arranged on the side of the end part of pixel electrode 1 in the long side area, so there is no disclination and the display quality is improved. |
