Self-locking panic lock enabling opening and closing of the door by both mechanical and motorized means

The panic lock has a spring-loaded catch, a spring loaded lock bar (8) and a spring-loaded auxiliary catch which locks a sliding element movable mechanically or by motor in the longitudinal direction of the lock with the locking bar retracted. The sliding element is clamped by inserting the lock bar. By inserting the auxiliary catch and the catch with a delay, the lock bar is freed for retraction, and the sliding element is clamped by a cylinder or key prong or a two-arm actuating lever pivotable by a protrusion (14). The lever is mounted on a rotary journal of the lock plate (2) with one arm (16) having a contact surface corresp. to that of the sliding element or fittings. The second lever arm (17) has a positive drive with the protrusions or fittings and with the transmission end element of a motor drive.
