PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide reliable remote management which manages the combination of a LAN docker on which a LAN controller is mounted and a notebook PC. SOLUTION: When a wake-up signal generation function of a LAN docker 200 is set to an effective state, the inherent ID (Dock- ID) of the docker 200 is registered in a PC body 100. When the body 100 is waked up from a stopped state or a sleep state in response to the generation of a wake-up signal Wake- Up from a LAN controller 31 in the docker 200, a system BIOS collates the Dock- ID in the body 100 with the Dock- ID of the docker 200 that is currently connected. The body 100 is set to an operation state in which it is accessible from a server by using the controller 31 and remote access becomes available only when ID coincidence is detected through the collation processing. |
