PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a vehicle from reversing when it is stopped on a steep uphill slope road by making clutch transmission torque of an electromagnetic clutch capable of suddenly increasing the torque as restraining drastic fluctuation of idle engine speed. SOLUTION: The ignition timing control sets (S13) an ignition correction quantityθId by referring to the map and on the basis of a clutch transmission torque Tr set in accordance with the clutch current to be supplied to an electromagnetic clutch and makes correction (S15) with the ignition timing correction quantityθId of a basic ignition timing SPK set on the basis of the engine operating condition. Engine torque can be controlled correspondingly to the clutch transmission torque by the ignition timing being corrected by the factor of the clutch transmission torque Tr.
