Pressed profile for vehicles has a vertical support section of synthetic resin, a decorative region of synthetic resin made in one piece with this in one operation and a metal reinforcing insert in the decorative region. The novelty is that the metal insert is bonded to the resin of the profile by polar groups of a thermoplastic resin. Independent claims are also included for methods of making the profile.
