The appliance (1) has a paint spray block with feed connections for different paints, cleaning fluid, and cleaning and compressed air. A main body (2) contains a conical turnable locking part (3), positioned at right angles to its longitudinal axis and the flow direction of the paint. The part has a coupling section (5) and a threaded journal. It contains intake channels (4,12) with intakes and outlets on different planes, and an overflow channel. Several paint change devices can be combined to form a change-over system.
