摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To form a dielectric layer, having a large film thickness while maintaining an uniformity of a film thickness by composing a dielectric layer of a colorless transparent aromatic polymer having heat-resisting property. SOLUTION: A dielectric layer of a plasma display panel is composed of a colorless transparent aromatic polymer, having a heat-resisting property and a polyallylene ether is preferably used as the aromatic polymer. The polyallylene ether is an aromatic copolymer, consisting of a plurality of aromatic copolymer chains, and the aromatic copolymer chain contains a chemical formula expressed as repeating units the unit of 2,6-diphenylphenol, and phenolic comonomer units inserted during repeating the unit of 2,6-diphenylphenol. Then with respect to the weight of the diphenylphenol copolymer, the amount of repeating units of 2,6-diphenylphenol is set about 50 to 98 wt.%, and that of the phenolic comonomer units is set about 2-50 wt.%.
