Electrohydraulic brake system with ABS control

An electronically regulated ABS braking system for a vehicle, e.g. a brake by wire system, has a simplified layout with only one pressure monitor (40,41) for each set of brakes. Each monitor is connected downstream of an isolating valve (12,15) which isolates the brakes from the master cylinder (2), and upstream of separate control valves (16,18, 26,28) for each wheel brake. The separate brakes are vented back to the low pressure reservoir (3) or to a servo pressure, by ABS control valves.
