PROCESS OF MANUFACTURE OF HIGHLY EXPANDED PLASTIC MATERIAL BY MOULDING

FIELD: processing of expanded plastic materials, small-scale production of some articles. SUBSTANCE: proposed process of manufacture of highly expanded plastic materials by moulding includes mixing of mineral filling agent and thermosoftening plastic material, activation followed by granulation in extruder and formation of articles. Specific feature of process lies in preliminary treatment of mineral filling agent in mixer-activator lined with fluoroplastic in the course of 1.0-3.0 min. Mixture is activated in the course of 3.0-5.0 min with speed of 900-3000 rpm in steel mixer-activator. EFFECT: considerably reduced usage of high-cost plastic materials while manufacturing articles without decrease of their physical and mechanical properties. 1 tbl
