PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a recording material which has an ink receiving layer being excellent in water resistance, not to speak of image clearness, and having surface tack reduced and which is used for image formation for which water- based ink is used. SOLUTION: This recording material has an ink receiving layer containing a reaction product produced by crosslinking the resin having at least one kind of functional group selected from carboxyl, hydroxyl and amino groups with a compound having a carbodiimide group, at least on one side of a base. In the reaction product, the resin is crosslinked in the ratio of the number of the carbodiimide groups/the number of the functional groups selected from the carboxyl, hydroxyl and amino groups being 0.1-30/100. |
