PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an indeterminate refractory for wet spraying, having tolerance equal to or higher than that of castable. SOLUTION: This indeterminate refractory for wet spraying is usable for wet spraying comprising forcefully feeding a kneaded product obtained by kneading the indeterminate refractory comprising a refractory raw material having particle sizes regulated so as to be the ones from coarse particles to a super fine powder, with a prescribed amount of water, to a spraying nozzle by a forced feeder, adding an alkaline gelatinizing agent thereto by a compressed air at the spraying nozzle, mixing the kneaded product with the added coagulant, and carrying out the spray processing of the mixed materials. The indeterminate refractory contains 5-15 wt.% of an alumina cement having >=70 wt.% alumina content, 3-15 wt.% magnesia raw material having <=1.0 mm particle size, 66-92 wt.% alumina raw material and/or spinel raw material, and 0.2-4 wt.% super fine powder consisting essentially of silica. |
