PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming device which can precisely detect the end of a toner. SOLUTION: In this image forming device which transfers the toner image on a latent image carrier 200 onto a transfer medium equipped with a developing means having the latent image carrier 200, a developing roller 20, and a supply roller 10 and forming an image using a toner on the latent image carrier 200, a toner density detection means 300 is placed to face the latent image carrier 200 or the transfer medium which is aligned with a position wherein a supply nip part 40 formed by the developing roller 20 and the support roller 10 is minimized, and the supply roller 10 is deflected to be at the farthest position from the developing position 20 so that the supply nip part 40 is minimized. The supply roller 10 is partially decreased in diameter to partially decrease the area of contact between the surface of the supply roller 10 and the developing roller 20 so as to minimize the supply nip part 40. The surface of the supply roller 10 is partially roughened to partially decrease the area of contact between the surfaces of the supply roller 10 and the developing roller 20 so as to minimize the supply nip part 40. |
