REMOVABLE DENTURE PLATES FOR ELDERLY PEOPLE

The present invention pertains to the field of medicine and more precisely to that of dentistry. This invention relates to denture plates consisting of two horseshoe-shaped bases which are connected together at their ends by horizontal axial connections. The adjacent surfaces of the bases are covered with artificial teeth, wherein said bases can be spaced apart from each other under the action of springs. When the base ends are not connected together by the above-mentioned axial connections, the springs are made in the shape of blades and are used as connections between the bases while allowing them to be spaced apart from each other. The non-adjacent surfaces of the bases are provided with guiding spurs for orienting both denture plates as one device into the oral cavity. One of the bases can be divided by functional joint so that the two bases are capable of parallel closing displacements towards each other. When placed in the oral cavity, these denture plates enable toothless elderly people to chew food efficiently in a semi-automatic mode as the plates open automatically under the action of the springs.
