PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a developing blade capable of restraining the occurrence of developing irregularity or strips so that an excellent image can be stably obtained. SOLUTION: As for this developing blade 5-a provided with a solid lubricant layer on its surface and forming a developer layer by abutting on a developing sleeve (developer carrier) 4 carrying and feeding developer, the base material of the blade 5-a is silicone rubber and a fine rugged part is previously formed on the surface of an abutting part where the blade 5-a abuts on the sleeve 4 before coating the surface of the abutting part with solid lubricant. By such constitution, the adhesion of the solid lubricant to the surface of the blade 5-a is enhanced, and the occurrence of the developing irregularity or the stripes in the initial stage of using the device is restrained. Since the surface of the blade 5-a is scraped while using the device, the fusion and the sticking of the lubricant and toner on the surface of the abutting part where the blade 5-a abuts on the sleeve 4 are reduced and the excellent image is stably obtained. |
