摘要 <p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To form a light distribution characteristic at traveling light distribution time in a bilaterally symmetrical shape, and enhance front distant visibility by moving a light source in the lateral direction relative to an installing state on a vehicle. SOLUTION: A light source 2 using a discharge lamp is composed so as to be switched to low light distribution and traveling light distribution by being laterally moved by a moving means 4 in an installing state on a vehicle relative to a reflecting mirror 3 having a paraboloid of revolution to shield the light reaching the lower half part of the reflecting mirror 3 except for a part by arranging a hood on the light source 2. When obtaining low light distribution, the light source 2 is set in a position S on the optical axis Z of the reflecting mirror 3 to form a light distribution characteristic in a bilaterally asymmetrical shape. When obtaining traveling light distribution, a quantity of lateral light is equalized by moving/setting the light source 2 to a left traveling position M point of a low position S to form a shape in bilateral symmetry. Therefore, a driver can easily visually confirm a front distant place of a vehicle. A position of a traveling position M point is set in the left rear of an S point by the moving means 4 to bring the reflected light near to parallel beams of light.</p>
