PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain the subject composition safely usable for all individuals for a long time of period and useful for the treatment of rosacea by including each specific fatty acid, fatty acid ester, fatty alcohol and the like, but excluding metronidazole and the like. SOLUTION: This composition is obtained by including (A) 1-5 wt.% of 12-24C fatty acid(s), (B) 5-15 wt.% of ester(s) of 2-3C polyalkylene oxide fragment(s) having 2-100 alkylene oxide residues and 12-24C fatty acid(s), (C) 1-20 wt.% of polyoxyalkylenated 12-22C fatty acid glyceride(s), having 0-20 alkylene oxide residue(s), (D) 1-20 wt.% of ester(s) of 12-24C fatty acid(s) and 1-6C alcohol(s), (E) 0.1-10 wt.% of glycerol, (F) 0.1-3 wt.% of 12-24C fatty alcohol(s) and (G) 50-85 wt.% of water. In this composition, metronidazole, any salt of lanthanide, Sn, Zn, Mn, yttrium, Co, Ba or Sr or non-photosynthetic filamentous bacteria are not included at all.
