PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To secure sufficient welding strength in welding an aluminum plated steel plate by using a laser beam. SOLUTION: If the ratio of aluminum component in a weld zone is 0.65 wt.% or less, a peeling breaking stress is obtained comparable to the tensile stress (27-28 kgf/cm<2> ) of the base material; if the ratio is 0.65 wt.% or above, the peeling breaking stress is smaller than the tensile stress of the base material. Thus, the aluminum component in the weld zone has bearing upon the tensile strength, with the welding strength improved as the contents of the aluminum component is less in the weld zone. In addition, in controlling such contents low in the weld zone for the purpose of obtaining a prescribed joining strength, the heat quantity of a laser beam is effectively increased per unit area by delaying the moving speed of a laser welding machine for example. |
