PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To display a program and the corresponding home page simultaneously on a television receiver. SOLUTION: An EPG data generator decoder 41 adds URL information of home pages open to an EPG corresponding to each program and encodes the result and provides an output to a multiplexer 15. An EPG data decoder 42 decodes EPG data to urge channel selection from a viewer and outputs an electronic program guide to a television receiver 4. Furthermore, the EPG data decoder 42 outputs a URL of a program broadcasting in a channel selected by the viewer to a system controller 34. The system controller 34 gives information of the received URL to a browser device 44 connected via an interface 43.
