PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide video server where time for retrieving a reproduction start position conducted on request from a user is reduced and from which an output without a block noise is obtained even in the case of special reproduction such as interlace reproduction. SOLUTION: A video server is provided with a video data storage means 30 that stores at least one video data reproduction minimum unit constituting video data of a prescribed number within a prescribed time from the head of a fixed length area in a storage form, a reproduction start address deduction means 10 that deduces a storage address of video data to be served, and a decoding means 11 that reads video data based on the deduced start address to serve video/audio data. Thus, no block noise is produced even in the execution of a special reproduction and a high speed response is obtained. |
