<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a toner which can be used for both of positively and negatively chargeable photoreceptors and which enables printing of a large number of sheets for a long time by incorporating an azo metal compd. and a triphenyl methane compd. in a specified weight ratio and controlling the volume resistance to a specified value. SOLUTION: This toner essentially consists of a binder resin, a coloring agent, an azo metal compd. and a triphenyl methane compd., and the content ratio of the azo metal compd. to the phenyl methane compd. is, by weight, 3:97 to 97:3. The toner has 3×10<10> to 15×10<10>Ω.cm volume resistance. As for the binder resin, it is preferable that the resin has lower initiation temp. of melting and that the glass transition temp. is high, in order to improve the storage stability. As for the coloring agent, an enough amt. to form a visible image with enough image density is required, and usually, it is incorporated by 1 to 20 pts.wt. to 100 pts.wt. of the binder resin. The total content of the azo metal compd. and triphenylmethane compd. is preferably 0.5 to 3 wt.%.</p> |
