PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize an interlace display and also to improve horizontal resolution by shifting a sampling timing at the time of performing a 1st and a 2nd field scannings by a time corresponding to a picture element shift amount caused by wobbling. SOLUTION: A frame of picture is formed (C) by scanning a 1st field without wobbling (A) and scanning a 2nd field with diagonal wobbling (B). In the vertical direction, the interlace display by the 1st field scanning and the 2nd field scanning is performed by vertical wobbling, and in the horizontal direction, different from the case of the vertical wobbling, the interlace display is performed by shifting the sampling timing (b) at the 2nd field scanning for displaying the same pixel by a time amount (phase)Δt corresponding to a horizontal pixel shift amountΔLx caused by the wobbling to the 1st sampling timing (a).
