METHOD FOR RESTRAINING SWELLING OF DEPHOSPHORIZING-TREATED SLAG IN MOLTEN IRON

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method with which the swelling of dephosphorizing- treated slag in molten iron can be restrained without executing aging treatment. SOLUTION: This restraining method for swelling of dephosphorizing-treated slag in the molten iron is executed by mixing a silica-containing material having latent hydraulic property or pozzolanic reactivity to the dephosphorizing-treated slag in the molten iron. Then, this method is executed in the condition that the mixing ratio of the silica-containing material having the latent hydraulic property or the pozzolanic reactivity is made to >=1% of the dephosphorizing- treated slag.
