PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To secure security by routing based on application classes in a local area network LAN environment connected to a WAN. SOLUTION: In a LAN consisting of a personal computer and pluralities of line concentrators/converters 101, a table 102 describing cross reference between a port number to discriminate application classes and a line concentrator/ converter 100 to which packer data are to be transferred next is provide in a storage deice 103 in a line concentrator/converter 101, and to which line concentrator/converter 101 a packet is to be transferred is retrieved by using the port number for a key. Thus, the routing system for the line concentrator/ converters 101 is realized, where routing is conducted based on an application class. |
