PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and system for automatically calling a caller having registered an automatic answering message by having only to select a message among messages displayed in a list so as to make automatic dialing to a caller without any special operation for dialing the caller number. SOLUTION: A database 100 has an area for a telephone directory 101 in which user names of telephone sets and telephone numbers of the telephone sets are stored in cross reference with each other in advance and has a storage area where each caller telephone number and each message are stored in pair. In the case of the arrival of a call from a caller, a caller telephone number acquired is stored in the database 100 in cross reference with a message at the automatic answering recording processing. The telephone directory 101 in the database 100 is retrieved, and when the telephone number is coincident with the caller telephone number of the message stored in the message stored in the storage area, the caller telephone number and the name are displayed as a list in cross reference with each other on a display. Then a destination selected of the telephone numbers listed on the display is dialed automatically.
