PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the number of stops in the case of a double-deck elevator. SOLUTION: In a double-deck elevator capable of being actuated in the ascending direction in any case except one in which at least one condition is established out of two conditions (a) and (b), control is so executed that its preceding deck shall respond to any hall call requiring the ascending direction of the elevator, wherein under the condition (a), a first hall call closest in the ascending direction is made at a first floor, and furthermore, a second hall call in a condition not answered yet, is also made at a floor adjacent to the ascending side of the first floor, and under the condition (b), a hall call closest to the ascending direction is made at the first floor, and furthermore, a car distination call for a floor adjacent to the ascending direction side of the first floor, is also made. |
