The shaking device comprises a vibrating part comprising a frame (9) against which an eccentric system (12) is supported. The vibrator is displaced transversely by an actuator (3). Mobile equipment (8,23) sliding mounted along the frame is provided with a retractable tree trunks stop flap (23) at the end of its sliding. Controls (35) for the vibrator actuator are fitted to lead the mobile equipment into contact with each tree trunk.
