PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To increase amount of light and remarkably reduce manufacturing cost, in a light emitting diode lamp formed by hermetically sealing two light emitting chips with a package body made of transparent or translucent synthetic resin. SOLUTION: A structure of light emitting diode lamp consists of a cathode lead terminal 2, two anode lead terminals 3, 4, and a package body 9 made of transparent or translucent synthetic resin which hermetically seals the tip parts of the lead terminals 2, 3, 4. Recessed part 2a' having an almost 1/2-elliptical section where an almost elliptical form is longitudinally divided into two parts by the major axis is formed on the surface of the tip of the cathode lead terminal 2. Recessed parts 3a', 4a' having almost 1/4-eliptical sections where an almost elliptical form is longitudinally divided into four parts are formed on the surfaces of the tips of the two anode lead terminals 3, 4. As to the cathode lead terminal 2 and the anode lead terminals 3, 4, the recessed parts 2a' and 3a' of the tip parts face each other, and a cup part whose section is almost elliptical is formed as a whole. Two light emitting chips 7, 8 are clamped in the cup and bonded. |
