<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cylinder assembly for rotary compressor, which can decrease noises generated in the gas sucking process and re-expansion process. SOLUTION: A cylinder assembly 30 is furnished with a resonance cavity 41 for damping the pulsation frequency of a sucked gas in flanges 31 and 32 and/or cylinder 33 and a flow passage 42 to put the resonance cavity 41 in communication with a suction pipe 39. The resonance cavity 41 may be formed in the upper and/or lower part of the cylinder 33, or may be formed at the upper 31 and/or lower flange 32, or may be formed at the boundary between the cylinder 33 and the upper flange 31 and/or lower flange 32 in such a way that both sides of boundary are included. When the sucked gas or gas to be re-expanded passes through the suction pipe 39, the pulsation frequency in a wide band which the gas has can thereby be damped by this resonance cavity 41 in communication with the suction pipe 39 via the passage 42, which should lead to decrease in the noise emission.</p> |
