PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an embodiment for continuously producing coated paper of high glossiness. SOLUTION: The base material is continuously fed in one direction with the roll 1, coated on its surface with the coating solution containing alumina hydrate particles, a binder and water at the alumina-coating part 2. After the water content of the coated layer is adjusted to 200-500 wt.%, an organic macromolecular film with an arithmetic average surface roughness of <=25 μm is continuously laminated at the laminating part 6, the resultant laminate film is dried in the drying chamber 7 until the water content lowers to $5 wt.%, and then the organic macromolecular film is peeled off.
