The combination receptacle consists of an enclosed lower compartment (2) with opening shutters, an upper compartment (3) with shutters (6) giving access to an ashtray ring (5), and a decorative object (9) such as a flower vase or plant pot holder which fits onto the upper compartment. The shutters of the lower compartment give access to an inner chamber holding a disposable container (4) for ash and cigarette ends. The container can also have an arrangement for absorbing, treating or deodorizing cigarette smoke.
