PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance the heating efficiency of the high frequency heating device of a microwave oven having a heating chamber of width large with respect to a depth dimension. SOLUTION: Since the width dimension of a heating chamber bottom wall 19 is larger than the depth dimension, an elliptically shaped drawn portion 20 protruding outside a heating chamber 16 is formed on the heating chamber bottom wall 19, a rotating radiation body 23 is positioned in the center thereof, and one pair of planar metal fittings 26, 27 installing the elliptical shape drawn portion 20 are formed in the right and left direction of the width direction on the heating chamber bottom wall 19 of the rotating radiation body 23. Therefore, the high frequency electric wave from a magnetron 25 oscillating a high frequency is propagated into the heating chamber 16, the high frequency electric wave is radiated as rotating by 360 degrees by a coaxial antenna 22 and a rotating radiation body 23, and the high frequency electric wave is radiated from the periphery of the rotating radiation body 23 and both side semicircular opening portions of the elliptically shaped drawn portion 20. Thereby, the food stuff to be cooked 17 is cooked uniformly uniformly. |
