PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the regenerative efficiency of declerating energy and driveability. SOLUTION: Each output shaft of an engine 3 as a prime mover and a motor 1 and as another prime mover cum a generator is connected to drive wheels 2 of a vehicle. The vehicle is driven by the drive force of at least either one of the engine 3 and motor 1, and decelerating energy is regenerated by making the motor 1 function as the generator. At the instant the brakes are applied, a clutch 4 is disengaged to cut off the engine 3. The motor 1 is controlled in such a way as to regenerate energy, which causes the motor 1 to generate a load corresponding to the sum of the braking forces as the engine brake generated, on the presumption that the clutch 4 is engaged and a part of or the whole required braking force, corresponding to the control input of the brakes. |
