<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the subject relatively small-sized turning apparatus intended to surely scrape up to-be-composted objects, properly conduct the accumulation height maintenance for the objects, contract such a space to a minimum as not to enable the objects to be accumulated at the front end of a fermentation tank so as to make the best use of the volume of the fermentation tank, and scrape and scrape up the objects reasonably even on a crosswise biased load. SOLUTION: This turning apparatus has such a scheme that a truck 1 having a means of self-propelling in the longitudinal direction of a fermentation tank 2 is mounted with a conveyor-type turning means 5 equipped with a scraping-up member for scraping-up agitation of to-be-composted objects G in the fermentation tank 2, e.g. in a somewhat backwardly inclined fashion so as to extend in the direction of the depth of the fermentation tank; during the passage of the truck above the fermentation tank, the objects in the tank in front of the turning means are scraped up with the scraping-up member, while the objects within the scraping-up member are allowed to fall into the fermentation tank on the rear end of the turning means, thus conducting a turning operation for the objects; By the way, the truck is equipped with a hydraulic pull-up means 9 designed to set the lower or front portion of the turning means in pull-up displacement obliquely forward and a hydraulic pull-down means 8 designed to set the upper or rear portion of the turning means in pull-down displacement obliquely backward.</p> |
